WEEK 17 FYP2

WEEK 17

👉 REPORT WRITING

  • In week 17, I struggled on preparing the full report writing of this project as the due date to send the full report and its hard cover is on 6/12/2019. I also did the technical paper writing by referring to the format given during the briefing on Technical Paper Writing workshop session.
  • Before printing the full report, the draft report writing and also technical paper need to be submitted to the supervisor to check the plagiarism. If the plagiarism is above 20 percent, the report need to be corrected until the plagiarism percentage reach below 20 percent.
  • I have done Chapter 1, 2, and 3 in previous week. So, in this week, I focused on writing Chapter 4 which is Results and Discussion and Chapter 5 which is Conclusion and Recommendation. 
  • In the section of Results and Discussion, I compile all the data obtained from the experimentation done in the laboratory and do the discussion on the results obtained.
  • After I finished writing the full report, I will send the softcopy to the supervisor to check if there is any mistake or improvement to be made.

👉 FINAL YEAR PROJECT 2 FULL REPORT
  • I have finished writing my final year project 2 report and print for hardcover. 
  • I also prepared to send the cd, technical paper, turnitin, and full report to the fyp coordinator. 
  • For the final report, I print two copy because one for supervisor and another one for the library. 
  • My turnitin report is 5% which is below 20%.
  • I have sent the full report to the library on 6th december 2019.

👉 COLLECTING DATA
  • In last week, I collect data for the first four alarm warning of battery failure for syringe pump. So, for this week I collect more data to get the average frequency data for all the alarm warning. For each alarm, I collect four set of data.

WEEK 15 FYP2

WEEK 15

👉 MEETING WITH SUPERVISOR
  • The meeting was held in FYP room level 2. The purpose of this meeting was to update the improvement that have been done of the prototype to the supervisor. The supervisor verified the coding, programming and also the functionality of the device on the real medical equipment.
  • The result of the meeting were:
  • 1) The student need to improve the knowledge of the programming (Arduino software).
  • 2) The student need to do repairing of the circuit so that there will be no distraction during collecting the data.
  • 3) The student need to collect more data regarding alarm failure pattern to be included in the technical report.
👉 DATA COLLECTION 
  • The student continue to collect data in FYP room. The data collection includes the battery failure of syringe pump and also battery failure of patient monitor. The battery failure of syringe pump have 5 stage but I only collect 4 alarm pattern. But, for patient monitor, it only have 1 battery failure alarm.  
  • Below is one of the example on how I collect the data for the stage 1,2,3 and 4 of syringe pump battery failure. 


  • For stage 1, the frequency measured for the ON pulse is 1.190Hz. For stage 2, the frequency measured is in the range of 2. 381Hz while stage 3 is 4.762Hz. Lastly, frequency measured for stage 4 ON pulse is 9.259Hz. This result shows that the frequency for each stage is different and it also have different length of ON and OFF time. 
  • For the next week, I will be collecting more data and get the average frequency for each stage.
